1. Selecting Hampers & Gifts and suggestions

 

I'm not very familiar with the People I'm sending the gift to what would you recommend?

A food and wine hamper for example makes a great Gift solution. Especially in the corporate Gift giving area, as it allows you to send a fabulous diverse selection of items within a Hamper that you know will therefore contain something your recipient will really enjoy, most if not all of the carefully selected items our Hampers rarely get to be shared around as recipients love all the contents. You can't fail to please with a Hampers & Co hamper, Wine case or Gift and that's the important thing.

 

What would I send if I am not sure about the recipients taste, I only know this person through work?

There is always going to be some items that appeal directly to the recipient, whether it's the wine or the sweet items, or the savouries and the cheese combinations, and that leaves all the other goodies for the recipient to share out! It's funny but we don't seem to have had a hamper returned yet as actually being unwanted. That’s the absolute beauty of giving a Hamper, Wine case or Gift, especially in the business environment.

 

I want to surprise them and make sure I'm not sending or giving out the same “stuff” each year?

The Hampers & Co design team are given the task of sourcing and procuring NEW packaging, NEW products, NEW wines and NEW Gift items, each and every season. As you will see on the website and in the brochure no two years carry all the same product range so there is no risk of sending the same selections a second time. The one Exception however! You know you will be sending someone a quality Hamper, Wine case or Gift each and every year!

How do I order my Hampers and Gifts?

There are several different ways to Order depending upon the quantity of Hampers and Gifts you would like to send check out the options below to see which method suits your needs:

 

From 1 Hamper up to 5 Hampers & Gifts

You can order up to (5) different Hampers and Gifts items, destined for five (5) different delivery addresses if required.
“Buy online” right away if you know what you want, or browse our collection and suggestions pages adding up to five (5) items into your cart as you go.
From there you can checkout and pay via our secure ecommerce pages.

 

I need to order more than five (5) Hampers and Gifts

If you want more than five (5) items you can still browse our collection and suggestions pages “Adding to Order”, Hampers and Gifts as you go, as many as you need. Then when you visit the checkout you are guided to, send an “Order Enquiry email”. This email will come into the office with all your selections and notes in it. A short time after we receive your email a sales team member will contact you to discuss your requirements in detail.

 

I need to order more than five (5) Hampers and Gifts

If you don’t like the above suggestions you can always Contact Us with a quick email via the website. A short time after we receive your email a sales team member will contact you to discuss your requirements. Or simply talk to someone real on 01-851-1098

How do I order hundred’s of Hampers?

Click on the Order Online button you can then select from a simplified listing of the hampers and Gifts, choose your items by adding to their quantity and then click on the “Add to Order” button at the bottom of the page. You are guided to send your selections into us as an “Order Enquiry email” a short time after we receive your email a sales team member will contact you to discuss your requirements.

How do I use the "Order Online" page?

Click on the "Order Online" button you can then select from a simplified listing of the hampers and Gifts, choose your items by adding to their quantity and then click on the “Add to Order” button at the bottom of the page.
If you have selected five (5) items or less when you go to the cart you can checkout and pay immediately.

OR

If you have selected more than five (5) items when you go to the cart you are guided to, send an “Order Enquiry email”. This email will come into the office with all your selections and notes in it. How do I Buy Online with the ecommerce pages?

Please note: We are presently awaiting the Elavon/BOI to complete the account setup, due to systems work at Elavon there are delays in this being completed. We therefore suggest that you visit our “Order Online” page and place an email order with the sales team, who will assist you after receipt of your email selection.

Normally though, you will be able to choose one of two methods to shop with us online. You can click on the Buy Online button at anytime on a screen and you will be transferred to our ecommerce section. Here you can view a listing of our Hampers & Gifts and make a quick selection of up to 5 different items which can go to 5 different delivery addresses. Then follow the steps to check out and process your payment.

Then follow the steps to check out and process your payment.

As you are browsing the site, select an item you like, by pressing the “Add to Order” Button you will be taken to the ecommerce screen here you can see what you have chosen and either checkout and pay or continue shopping for more delectable items. You can have up to 5 different Gift items, which if you would like, can all go to one address or can go to 5 individual delivery addresses. Then follow the steps to check out and process your payment.

Last Order dates for delivery before Christmas;

Ireland & Northern Ireland is Friday 12th December 08
Within the European Union is Friday 14th November 2008
Outside of the European Union is Friday 7th November 08
(If you really have to order after these dates above, it might be too late for delivery in the peak period leading up to Christmas, call us on 01-851-1098).

 

How do I Contact you?

It varies, if buying a small number of Hampers online (up to 5), then follow the steps and fill out the form(s) as required. Or you can go to Order Online select a range or a larger quantity of hampers and submit an email enquiry with comments or questions after you add to your cart. This is not an order yet as will be explained in the email window. The Sales team will then contact you for all the required details. Just make sure that you have entered your contact details so that we can get back to you quickly. Or simply Contact Us and the team will walk you through the information required.

 

How much information do I need to complete my order?

Click on the Contact Us button at anytime and you will be transferred to our email contact page on the website. Here we have all the information phone numbers and address details for the office. Or send us a “Quick email” here you just send us an email with contact details and a brief question and we return your call.

3. Can I send a Card or a compliment slip with my Gifts?

 

How do I send my gift cards or compliment slips?

Hampers & Co is one of the few large Hamper & Gift companies that can accept your personal greeting cards or compliment slips to accompany the selected Hamper or Gift Box. We provide this service for the larger orders, which we consider start at five (6) Hampers or above. We will need your cards or Compliment slips delivered into our warehouse no later than five (5) working days prior to the your required delivery date.

4. Deliveries

 

How can I receive my FREE "Early Order Gift”?

The "Early order Gift" is sent out when you have processed and completed your order details before Friday 14th November 2008. The net value of this order must exceed €700, (excluding VAT & any delivery charges). The "Early order Gift" will be delivered Free of charge (within Ireland) to your "Order" address.

 

Can I choose when I have my Hampers & gifts delivered?

Certainly, you can order now and select your "Required delivery date". We do all the planning to make sure your items get delivered on your selected dates. Deliveries are scheduled Monday to Friday in regular business hours 9am to 5pm. During the busier period leading up to Christmas it is very difficult to have timed deliveries if you need a delivery at a specific time then talk to the sales team when you place your order on 01-851-1098 or sales@hampersandco.com. If your premises for any reason are not open during these hours, e.g. close for lunch, close early etc, then please inform the sales team when ordering to assist our couriers as much as possible.

 

What is the latest date I can send a Hamper or Gift by?

Ire & NI: Latest dispatch date Monday 15th December 08
UK: Latest dispatch date Monday 8th December 2008
EU: Latest dispatch date Friday 21st November 2008 (refer to delivery table for specific countries)
USA: Latest dispatch date Friday 14th November 2008
The latest dispatch date for all other International destinations is: Friday 14th November 2008
(If you really have to send an item after these dates above, it might be too late for delivery in the peak period leading up to Christmas).

 

How much time can I leave before I place my order (or How late can I order my Gifts)?

During the busy season in the lead up to Christmas we estimate a minimum allowance of five (5) working days for deliveries within the Republic of Ireland from point of placing order is a realistic and pragmatic timing. Our extensive experience tells us this is a practical time period. During the rest of the year however, we can provide next day deliveries within Ireland with orders placed before 12pm Lunchtime.

 

Can you deliver on Saturday or in the evenings?

Sorry! Not at present, we are currently negotiating these extended delivery services in the larger city areas, but it will be sometime in 2008/09 before this is confirmed. Some exceptions might apply but a particular delivery will have to be discussed and clarified with the Sales team.

 

What are the Delivery Charges likely to be for delivery in Ireland for one or two items?

Delivery to an individual address in Ireland is €14.00 per Hamper or Gift box (€16 to NI) with Parcel courier services (for Hampers up to 22Kg only). If you have several items all going to the same address, we ship a maximum of 5 items by An-Post, more than this and we ship in a carton or on a pallet to keep your delivery charges as low as possible.

 

What are the Delivery Charges likely to be for delivery in Ireland for multiple items to one address?

Delivery of multiple Hampers or Gift Boxes to one nominated location (more than 5 items) would be organized to go on a carton or pallet delivery. We will confirm the delivery charges with you at the time of placing your Order. Remember of course that if your Order value is over €1500 (net order value, excluding VAT), then your delivery is Free! of charge.

 

What are the delivery charges for international shipments?

For delivery outside of Ireland we provide you with a price quotation for all such orders. Please call us and we can provide very competitive prices, 01-851-1098. The international delivery charge covers the packaging and delivery only. Local customs duties and taxes may also be payable by your intended overseas recipient. We can discuss this when you are placing your order.

 

How do I send Gifts or Hampers overseas?

We would recommend that you call us and we can discuss your requirements 01-851-1098. International shipments will need to be checked for delivery charges and also suitability for any known shipping limitations to a particular region of the world. We will also clarify with you any potential local customs and excise issue for your selected items.

 

How do I get all my Gifts Delivered to one address?

If you are sending more than 5 items we will ship these in a larger outer carton or on a Pallet which ever provides the best protection for your Goods. Please note that for Hampers or Gift Boxes to one address with an order value of less than €1500 (net order value, excluding VAT), we can provide reduced shipping costs. Prices vary depending upon destination, quantities, weights, and delivery times, etc. so please enquire with the Customer Service team for a quotation on our very competitive shipping rates, contact 01-851-1098.

 

How do I send a few gifts to a one address?

If you are sending 4 items or less, we will ship these with our courier services, where possible we will endeavour to ship these in a larger outer carton to minimize your shipping expenses. The Gifts will be dispatched at the same time. However due to circumstances outside of our control, in the November/December period these items may unfortunately arrive at different times depending upon the workload of the local delivery services in each area.

 

What happens if my recipients address details are incorrect?

If the package has already left the warehouse and is subsequently returned to Hampers & Co, we will contact you, to inform you that the item has been returned and the reasons why. At that point you can decide if you would like to resend the item in question, with revised delivery information. (Please see the Terms and Conditions of sale for more details relating to this subject). See our terms and conditions of sale for any further details. If I want to resend items onto colleagues overseas will you need to know this? It is very helpful if you can be as concise as possible when ordering your Hampers. Add as much pertinent information as possible to any emails or order forms you send into us, it all helps. For Example: If you are likely to be re-sending some Gift items then let us know. We will make sure that they are packaged appropriately for you to do this.

 

What happens if I think an item has not been delivered?

In the event of a non-arrival please Contact Us within 28 days of the expected delivery date and quote the order number and client details shown on the invoice paperwork and we will resolve any difficulties.

 

What happens if something arrives broken?

If you can obviously identify an item as damaged upon arrival, DO NOT, sign the delivery docket to accept the delivery. It is important that you don't sign for damaged goods as this could potentially release the delivery company from any related responsibility. Call the office 01-851-1098 as soon as the item arrives at your premises. Then you can report your findings by email to warehouse@hampersandco.com or fax the office number 01-851-1060 to report the details. We will resolve the difficulty as soon as we possibly can.

 

What happens if something arrives broken and we only find it after it is delivered?

Notify us by email or fax ideally within 48 hours of receiving the Gift items. A description of the damage is also to be provided with any supporting information. We will resolve the difficulty as soon as we possibly can.

 

What Paper work will I receive with my order:

If you are receiving a lot of items all together then you will be presented with a Hampers & Co delivery docket, keep one copy as your record and one signed copy is returned to the driver as our proof of delivery (POD).

 

Can I track if an item has been delivered?

There are facilities for the selective tracking of individual items that have not reached their destination within a reasonable period of time, after the actual dispatch date from our warehouse. Proof of delivery isn't provided automatically for all deliveries. If you would like or need proof of delivery for all or part of your order, then please inform the Sales team when you place you are ordering.

5. Payment Methods & Options

 

How can I pay for my Hampers & Gifts?

We can accept various payment methods including the following; Credit cards, Visa, Master card Laser card, electronic bank transfers, Cheques or Bankers drafts, made payable to "Hampers & Co".

 

Do the listed prices include VAT?

No, the prices listed on the Web site and in the Brochure are all exclusive of VAT and any delivery charges. The Web site does list the both prices for your information.

 

Our Company qualifies as VAT exempt, can you invoice us accordingly?

Yes we certainly can, please inform the sales team at the time you place your order and we will request the necessary documentation to support this prior to you paying for your selected items.

6. Miscellaneous Enquiries

 

Can I take a couple of things out or change a few things in my Hamper?

The stock answer is yes if you are ordering more than 20 items of the same type, you can go to our Create Your Own section of the website for all the details. During the lead up to the Christmas season it is simply not feasible to change product design s for less than 20 items. If however during the year you need some changes on a slightly smaller order then we will consider your requirements as they arise.

 

What if a product has to be substituted in Hamper?

All our Hamper products are subject to availability. If due to some unforeseen circumstances it is necessary to substitute an item, the replacement item will most definitely be of equal or greater value than the product being replaced. If at all possible we will notify you in advance that Substitute items will have to be used, but there can always be the odd occasion when substitutes occur after an item has been released into production and are dispatched on the same day. In which case a notification cannot be issued ahead of time, this is a very rare situation.

 

Can I buy just one or two product items that I like?

The items Featured in the Brochure as part of a Hamper or Gift set are not specifically available as individual items, via the Brochure or via the Online ordering facility. However individual item types can be ordered, in the case or box quantities as they are bulk shipped to Hampers & Co from the source suppliers. Prices for such orders can be provided on an individual basis.

 

How do I store or handle the Chilled products in the Hampers?

If you know that it is going to be more than a few hours before the Hampers are collected or they are in a particularly warm area of your home, office or factory, then open the cellophane outer wrapping and store the chilled goods in a fridge. If the Hampers are temporarily stored in a very cold area of a factory or a chiller in a Hotel, etc, then the chilled products can remain in the Hamper. If you’re unsure, always be overly cautious and place the chilled products in a Fridge. Call us on 01-851-1098 if you are at all unsure about this aspect of your Hamper.

 

How can I tell if my Basket contains Smoked Salmon or any other chilled Produce?

The Hampers or Gift boxes containing chilled products are clearly labelled as such. Open the Hamper and refrigerate the chilled products even if this is for a short time before being transported further or please store the Hampers or Gift boxes in a cool or cold location.
